It’s a Happy Thought

I’d just like to take this moment to say: Spring has finally arrived in my small corner of the eastern seaboard.

On my way home from work, a small rabbit sat where the woods meet the sloped ditch on the side of the road. I heard frogs peeping happily last week. The chipmunks have returned from their hibernation. And although it was 39 degrees when I got up this morning, that’s an acceptable spring temperature to me. Spring is supposed to grow from cool to warm, with rainy skies giving way to sun. Besides, the presence of a bunny makes it officially spring in my book. My deepest sympathies for those of you still in winter’s grasp. Spring will get there–she’s just kind of a fickle season.

Thank you for rejoicing with me that it’s spring. I am drafting weightier articles, but spring called to me too loudly to be ignored. Enjoy the weather–wherever you are!
